Steps for an Islamic and Legal Marriage in Quebec
The Imam of the First Al-Tawhid Center, located in Saint-Léonard, is authorized to solemnize legal marriages and arrange their registration in accordance with applicable Quebec and Canadian laws.
Prepare your documents
Both future spouses should prepare:
Birth certificate
Valid photo ID
Driver’s license, passport, or health card
Confirmation of civil status
Attestation letter
Divorce certificate
If applicable
Death certificate of a previous spouse
If applicable
Additional documents may be required depending on individual circumstances.
The entire process can take up to 21 days!
